We have been fortunate to be a part of the Springfield Public School's BASE Program (Business Alternative Student Education).  The BASE Program is in it's 25th year, of helping special needs students.    It is a partnership between SPS and local businesses to provide students the opportunity to develop career awareness, exploration, assessment, and positive social skills.  Their day is 0830-0330pm, which includes approximately 3 hours of academic student including pre-employment training, daily life skills, occupational guidance, real life applications of reading and math, and job shadowing for about 3 hours per day. Stable Companions offers equestrian and farming experiences. The program is individualized based upon the students individual needs!!
